Slovenia and Scotland 0-0 in Ljubljana

In a B League Nations League Group 1 match described in the local press as from the "our" B League, Slovenia and Scotland played out a 0-0 draw this afternoon in Ljubljana.

The hosts created the clearer openings at the start: an early goal was ruled out in the 8th minute, Matko missed a gilt-edged chance in the 31st minute, and two minutes later Drkušić struck the post.

From that moment Scotland grew into the game and began to press. In stoppage time before half-time Ure also hit the woodwork against Jan Oblak, and after that the visitors generated most of the attacking moments.

Oblak made a number of important saves in the second half as Scotland continued to threaten, but none of the chances were converted and the match finished goalless.

Both sides had to settle for one point each; the visitors were arguably the ones left to rue two lost opportunities for full points.

It is already known that on Tuesday North Macedonia will play Slovenia in Ljubljana, and on 03.10. North Macedonia will face Scotland at home in Skopje.
