Fiat 'Panda' Crashes Into Private Plane at Milan Linate Airport

A small service vehicle, a Fiat Panda, ended up colliding with a private aircraft at Linate airport in Milan on Monday, August 10 at about 11:20 a.m., in the area dedicated to general aviation. Authorities reported that no one was injured in the accident.
The car belonged to a company responsible for airport services and was reportedly travelling along a service road when it entered the path of the private plane that was taxiing toward the runway. The vehicle did not stop and struck the front section of the aircraft.
Emergency response and operational disruption
Aerodrome emergency teams immediately intervened, with firefighters and medical crews attending the scene. Both the occupants of the aircraft and the driver of the car were unhurt.
Because of the collision, airport traffic was temporarily halted. Two aircraft scheduled to land at Linate were diverted to Orio al Serio and Malpensa, and normal operations at Linate were restored after roughly half an hour.
Authorities at the airport are investigating the circumstances that led to the vehicle entering the aircraft's path. Video footage of the incident circulated online, and investigators will use available recordings and witness accounts as part of their probe.
