Assembly registers resignation of Deputy Health Minister Jovica Andovski

The Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia today registered the resignation of Deputy Minister of Health Jovica Andovski.

Lawmakers approved the agenda for the 126th plenary session. Before debate and voting on the scheduled items, opposition MPs filed questions that were heard at the start of the sitting.

Key items on the 126th session agenda

The agenda includes a draft law to ratify the Third Protocol to the General Agreement on Privileges and Immunities of the Council of Europe; a proposal to elect an external commissioner (member) to the Commission for Securities; and a decision on sending members of the Army to take part in the European Union operation ALTHEA in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Also listed are a proposal to appoint the president and members of the committee that awards the state prize "Goce Delchev", an amended draft Law on State Audit scheduled for third reading, and a draft decision to amend the earlier approval to extend the state of crisis caused by the risk of disruption to oil and oil-derivatives supplies in the country. The agenda also contains a request for an authentic interpretation of Article 141, paragraph (4) of the Labour Relations Law, submitted by MP Daniela Nikolova.

Parliament did not approve a proposal to add, by shortened procedure, the Law on Financial Support to Reduce the Consequences of the Economic Crisis on Agricultural and Livestock Production and the Purchase of Agricultural Products in 2026 to the session agenda.

Earlier, the parliamentary Commission for Defence and Security backed the decision to send 32 members of the Army to the ALTHEA mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
