Assembly to resume 121st session with more than 40 legislative amendments on the agenda

The Assembly will resume its 121st session today at 14:00 in the "Macedonia" hall, with more than forty legislative amendments on the agenda, including a new national road safety strategy and the 2025 annual report from the agency that oversees access to public information.

Main files and shortened procedures

Members of Parliament are due to consider the National Strategy for Road Traffic Safety 2026–2030 and the Annual Report of the Agency for Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information for 2025. Lawmakers will also debate a broad package of bills submitted under a shortened parliamentary procedure.

The draft laws listed for discussion include proposals on pension and disability insurance; mandatory oil reserves; the Geological Survey of the Republic of North Macedonia; the Deposit Insurance Fund; State Statistics; the Customs Administration; public procurement; metrology; commodity reserves; and the establishment of an Agency for Foreign Investment and Export Promotion of the Republic of North Macedonia.

Further amendments on the agenda concern the State Market Inspectorate; the Public Revenue Office; industrial property; protection from ionising radiation and radiation safety; technological-industrial development zones; medicines and medical devices; the Central Registry; health insurance; and establishing an Agency to Promote Agricultural Development and Export. The package also contains changes to the Law on Food Safety.

Parliamentarians will also review proposed changes to urban planning rules; the creation of an Agency for Financial Support in Agriculture and Rural Development; the Register of Compulsory Social Insurance; classified information; the State Inspectorate for Local Self-Government; expert appraisal procedures; the real estate cadastre; management of confiscated property; rules on property benefit and seized items in criminal and misdemeanor proceedings; balanced regional development; and professional training for administrative civil servants.

The session will include consideration of laws on crisis management, protection and rescue, safety in the railway system, administrative inspection, archival material and archival activity, plant health, administrative civil servants, the environment, inspection oversight, the State Inspectorate for Agriculture, the use of the Macedonian language, labour inspection, enforcement of sanctions and inland navigation.

Also on the agenda is the Draft Law amending the Law on Financial Support for Investments. The Assembly continuation is scheduled to convene at 14:00 in the "Macedonia" hall.
