Sunny and warm across most of North Macedonia — highs may exceed 30 °C
Hydrometeorological Service forecasts maximums between 28 and 36 °C; Skopje 15–35 °C, with possible local storms on Tuesday.
Skopje, 16 August 2026 — The weather across most of North Macedonia will be sunny with some locally small to moderate cloudiness, and a light to moderate wind blowing from variable directions.
The Hydrometeorological Service says overnight low temperatures will range between 7 and 18 °C, while daytime highs are expected from 28 to 36 °C.
In Skopje and its surroundings conditions will be similar, with temperatures between 15 and 35 °C.
Short-term outlook
The coming days are forecast to remain stable and warmer overall. An exception is Tuesday, when local development of unstable cloudiness is possible and may bring heavy showers, thunder and gusty winds.
Residents are advised to take routine precautions for hot weather and to monitor local forecasts for any short‑lived storms, particularly on Tuesday.
