Traffic police receive 33 new motorcycles valued at over 16.8 million denars
New motorcycles and protective equipment delivered to strengthen traffic units and improve enforcement on the roads.

On 8 October 2026 the traffic police were equipped with 33 new police motorcycles and a complete set of protective gear, with a total value of more than 16.8 million denars. The vehicles and equipment are intended to strengthen the capabilities of traffic units and improve officers' effectiveness on the ground.
The delivery was carried out as part of a joint effort between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Republican Council for Road Traffic Safety (RSBSP). Officials said the modernization of the fleet and gear is part of broader measures aimed at reducing traffic accidents and improving road controls.
Faster response and tighter controls
Authorities highlighted that the new motorcycles will allow for faster response times, greater mobility and more efficient enforcement of traffic checks, especially during periods of increased traffic intensity. The equipment also includes full protective clothing for officers who will use the bikes in the field.
“With the modernization of equipment and the strengthened controls, we are already taking significant steps toward reducing traffic accidents and the number of fatalities and injured persons,” said Minister of Internal Affairs Panche Toshkovski.
Both the Ministry and the RSBSP stressed that measures to improve road safety will continue in the coming period, with further activities planned to support prevention and enforcement on the roads.
