Siljanovska-Davkova meets Serbian prime minister in Ohrid

President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova met today with Serbian Prime Minister Gjuro Macut at Villa "Biljana" in Ohrid for talks on regional, European and international issues, with special attention to the upcoming Brdo-Brioni process summit scheduled for November in Ohrid.

Focus on neighbourhood relations and ties

During the meeting the two officials exchanged views on a range of topics affecting the Western Balkans and Europe, and stressed the importance of nurturing good-neighbourly relations and cooperation between the two countries.

The visit of the Serbian prime minister was hosted by Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski. Officials said the talks concentrated on further advancing political dialogue and on deepening economic cooperation.

Siljanovska-Davkova and Macut discussed preparations and expectations for the Brdo-Brioni summit in November, which will be held in Ohrid, and considered how the meeting could contribute to regional stability and European integration efforts.

Both sides underlined that regular high-level contacts and strengthened bilateral ties are necessary to address shared challenges and to promote economic projects of mutual interest.

There were no immediate details released about specific agreements or joint statements following the meeting.
