Stefan Ristovski officially leaves Sarajevo
The Macedonian international and the Bosnian club settled outstanding contractual matters before confirming his exit on 12 August 2026.
Stefan Ristovski has officially left Sarajevo, the club confirmed on 12 August 2026 after the parties completed the remaining steps to terminate his active contract.
The Macedonian international’s departure had been signalled earlier, but finalising contractual details required additional time because of obligations still in place with the club.
End of a chapter in a long career
Ristovski’s exit closes another chapter in the lengthy career of one of North Macedonia’s most prominent players over the past decade. During his spell in Sarajevo he was a regular figure in the team following his arrival from Dinamo Zagreb.
Prior to joining Sarajevo, Ristovski played for Dinamo Zagreb — where he also served as captain — and earlier had a stint at Sporting Lisbon, experiences that shaped his reputation in the region.
The club and the player exchanged formal thanks as the separation was finalised; no further sporting or transfer details were announced at the time.
