Stojanovski: Energy and defence will decide the Supercup

MZT Skopje Aerodrom will open the domestic season this weekend with the national Supercup, a match that could deliver the first trophy of the year for the club known for an already extensive medal cabinet.

The curtain-raiser, billed as the "Dragan Vasilov – Cevka 2026" Supercup, pits the storks against MKK Kumanovo and is scheduled for Saturday at 18:00 in the sports hall in Kumanovo.

Captain's message

Captain Damjan Stojanovski said the team has been preparing gradually and that the final outcome will be shaped by MZT's own intensity and defensive play.

"The new season, in which we have a large number of commitments, we start this weekend with the Supercup match. We are slowly preparing for it and I think everything will depend on us. On our energy, above all, and on our play in defense. I think we will present ourselves in a good light and that we will win," Stojanovski said.

Coaches and fans will be looking for signs that MZT's preseason work has translated into match readiness, especially given the club's ambitions and the busy calendar ahead.
