Stokomak 10 kg frozen chicken drumsticks for 899 denars — shoppers rush stores

Stokomak's latest promotion — a 10‑kilogram pack of frozen short chicken drumsticks priced at 899 denars — quickly became the talk of shoppers across North Macedonia. At that price, one kilogram works out to 89.9 denars (8.99 denars per 100 grams), a level that immediately drew attention amid generally rising meat prices.

The announcement on the retailer's Facebook page triggered a fast response: customers from multiple towns reported rushing to nearby stores to buy the big packs, while many others said they left empty‑handed after finding empty shelves.

One frustrated buyer commented under the post: "The ad is useless, the drumsticks are nowhere to be found, they just lie!"

Store replies and live stock updates

Store administrators replied actively to the wave of messages, responding to many comments with real‑time stock information and directions where the boxes could still be found. For example, an administrator wrote: "There are currently 3 packages in stock at the checkout in Bitola. Here you go!" and to another town: "In the store by the oil section we have stock, here you go!" In Gevgelija, replies promised that a shipment was already on the way.

Shoppers who want to take advantage of the deal are advised to check at the checkout area or ask employees in person; according to the responses on social media, staff were updating availability in real time. Given how fast the packs disappeared, early arrival or asking staff directly increased the chance of finding one.

The promotion demonstrates how a single, low price on a staple product can create a minor frenzy in stores: customers looking to stock their freezers were competing for a limited number of 10‑kg packs, and the retailer's social media team tried to manage expectations by pointing buyers to remaining supplies.
