Stole Dimitrievski leads Nations League with most saves

Despite North Macedonia suffering four defeats in as many Nations League matches — scoring no goals and conceding 10 — goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski has stood out individually by making the most saves after the opening four rounds.

According to Sofascore, Dimitrievski recorded 21 saves across those four games, placing him first in the competition. Behind him are Sene Lamens (Belgium) with 19 saves and Gigi Donaruma (Italy) also on 19. Anthony Moris (Luxembourg) follows with 18, while Vanja Milinković-Savić (Serbia) and Jan Oblak (Slovenia) each have 17 saves.

Big numbers despite poor team results

Those 21 saves underline Dimitrievski's role in limiting the damage in this Nations League cycle in League B. The tally reflects numerous key interventions that prevented the scorelines from becoming even more lopsided.

The statistic covers the first four fixtures of the campaign and was reported on October 7, 2026. While the national side has yet to find the net, Dimitrievski’s individual performance has been a rare positive.

Coaches and fans have noted that without the goalkeeper’s reactions and stops the defeats could have been far heavier, and the numbers offer a clear metric of his contribution during a difficult run for North Macedonia.
