Struga produced a late comeback in Bitola to beat E. Pelister 2 25:24 in the ninth round of the Superleague. The hosts led 12:11 at half-time, but Struga overturned the deficit in the second half and took the points on the road.
Decisive finish in the final minute
The match remained tense until the end and was decided in the closing minute. David Dimevski brought E. Pelister 2 level at 24:24 with a goal in the 59th minute, then Darko Georgievski scored the winning goal for Struga in the final minute.
Nikola Jukić and Mario Tankovski were Struga’s top scorers with six goals each. Mice Shilegov added five, while Martin Manaskov scored three.
Goalkeeper Martin Jovanovski delivered an outstanding performance for Struga, finishing the game with 14 saves.
For E. Pelister 2, David Dimevski finished as the top scorer with seven goals and Bozhidar Ilieski contributed six.
The victory gives Struga valuable points from an away fixture in Bitola as the Superleague season progresses.
