Suzana Lazovic to take part in First Women's Handball Forum in Ohrid
Suzana Lazovic, Olympic medallist and current Montenegro coach, is among the panelists at the Forum during Trophy Macedonia.
The Handball Federation of Macedonia will hold the First Women's Handball Forum in Ohrid during the international "Trophy Macedonia" tournament, bringing together leading players and coaches from the region.
High-profile guests and a practical programme
One of the headline participants is Suzana Lazovic, whose playing résumé includes a silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, gold at the 2012 European Championship and a Champions League title with Budućnost in the same year. She also lifted a European club trophy again in 2015.
Forced to end her playing career at just 25, Lazovic transitioned into coaching and today serves as head coach of the Montenegro women's senior national team. She also coaches the Hungarian side Alba Fehervar and has extended that agreement until the end of the 2027/28 season.
The forum will feature a panel of well-known figures from the women's game: Indira Kastratovic, Andrea Lekic, Lidija Horvat, Suzana Lazovic and Dragana Cvijic. The session will be moderated by Jana Serafimova and organised by the Handball Federation of Macedonia.
Practical questions about leadership, talent development and the transition from elite player to coach are expected to dominate the agenda. The organisers say the forum is intended as a platform for current players, coaches and young prospects to hear first-hand accounts from those who reached the top.
