Taranto 2026: North Macedonia hammered by Tunisia 43–11
Second defeat at Taranto 2026 as Tunisia ran out 43–11 winners, leaving North Macedonia 32 goals adrift.
On 24.08.2026 at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto, North Macedonia's women's handball team suffered a heavy defeat against Tunisia, losing 43–11 in their second match of the tournament.
From the opening whistle Tunisia imposed its tempo, controlling possession and forcing errors, which allowed them to build a lead early in the game. North Macedonia struggled to find rhythm on attack and to stop Tunisia's fast breaks.
As the game progressed the margin kept widening in Tunisia's favour. The final score left North Macedonia with a negative goal difference of 32 goals and just 11 scored in total.
The result is the second consecutive loss for the North Macedonian side at Taranto 2026 and leaves the team with an uphill task in the group phase of the Mediterranean Games.
