Father and brother allegedly attacked woman and her husband in Veles area; wooden object seized
Victim reported the attack inside her home; police say the wooden object was found and seized and an investigation is under way.

A 45-year-old woman from a village in the Veles area reported that she and her husband were attacked inside their home by two close relatives, the police said. The alleged assailants are identified by initials as her father, V. Dž., and her brother, A. Dž., and authorities say a wooden object was used in the assault.
"On 09.08.2026 at 11:10 a.m. at the Veles Regional Police Department, a 45‑year‑old woman from a village in the Veles area reported that at their home she and her husband were physically attacked by her father V. Dž. and her brother A. Dž., who also used a wooden object. The object was found and seized and measures are being taken to clarify the incident," the police bulletin states.
Investigation and next steps
Police say they located and confiscated the item reportedly used in the attack and that investigative actions are ongoing. Officials have not released the name of the village in order to protect the victims' privacy.
The bulletin does not give further details about injuries or the current status of the two suspects. Prosecutors and investigators typically examine forensic evidence and interview witnesses as part of the procedures to establish the circumstances of such domestic incidents.
The police bulletin also notes a separate traffic fatality: a 44-year-old motorcyclist died after leaving the road near Brajčino.
