Complaints period underway after Brvenica mayoral vote — runoff on 1 November
Preliminary results published by the State Election Commission; no candidate won an absolute majority in the first round.

The State Election Commission published preliminary official results from the early mayoral vote in Brvenica, and the period for filing complaints is currently open. A second round of voting has been scheduled for 1 November.
No candidate secured an outright victory in the first round. Party statements so far have focused on the relative advantages their candidates hold over rivals, while broader party ratings have taken a back seat.
VMRO-DPMNE recorded a drop of 444 votes compared with last year’s local elections but highlighted an advantage of around 800 votes over the candidate of DUI (Democratic Union for Integration). The gap versus the SDSM candidate is reported as more than 4 to 1.
What happens next
Pending any upheld complaints or adjustments to the preliminary tally, the vote scheduled for 1 November will decide the final outcome. The State Election Commission will complete processing of objections before the second round.
Parties have framed the preliminary numbers to their advantage, but with no clear winner after the first round the campaign enters a final phase aimed at turning those leads into a decisive result on 1 November.
