Serious injury in Istanbul: Kerem Aktürkoğlu collapses during Fenerbahçe–Konyaspor match

Serious scenes unfolded in Istanbul on August 22, 2026, as Fenerbahçe faced Konyaspor in a match that finished 4:1 for the hosts. The game also featured North Macedonia international Enis Bardhi for Konyaspor, but attention turned to a worrying moment late on when Fenerbahçe forward Kerem Aktürkoğlu was injured.

The incident and immediate reaction

In the closing stages, after an aerial challenge, Aktürkoğlu fell and remained motionless on the pitch. Players from both teams immediately signalled for the medical staff and surrounded the scene while first responders worked to stabilise him.

Medical staff treated the forward for several minutes on the field. At one point Aktürkoğlu lost consciousness and collapsed, forcing the match medical team to call for urgent assistance.

Club personnel and teammates made it clear that the player could not continue. He was placed on a stretcher and taken off the pitch before being transferred to hospital by ambulance.

A social-media post capturing the moment read in English translation: "KEREM AKTÜRKOĞLU FAINTED! GET WELL SOON KEREM!" — Gol Anında (@golanindatv).

The full condition of Aktürkoğlu has not been disclosed publicly; the immediate priority for both clubs and supporters was the player’s health. The match result stood 4–1 in favour of Fenerbahçe.
