Tetovo man arrested after wife says he forced her and three children from home and assaulted her
A 36-year-old man was detained after his 26-year-old wife reported being expelled from their home with their three children and then attacked.
A man from Tetovo was arrested after his wife reported that he forced her and their three small children out of the family home and then physically assaulted her, police said.
“On 06.08.2026 at 23:45 in Tetovo, police officers from the Tetovo Police Department detained A.F.(36) from the Tetovo area, residing in Tetovo, acting on a prior report from his 26-year-old wife that at around 21:00 in their home he expelled her from the house together with their three minor children, and then physically attacked her. He was held at a police station and following full documentation of the case an appropriate charge will follow,” the police bulletin says.
According to the notification, the arrest followed the victim’s complaint to the police. The wife told officers that the incident began in the evening, when she and the children were forced to leave the home before the alleged physical attack.
Police procedure and next steps
After being detained, the suspect remained in police custody while investigators collect and document evidence. The police said that once the case file is complete, prosecutors will be notified and formal charges are expected.
The officers involved acted on the initial report and secured the scene; authorities also registered the statement of the woman who lodged the complaint. No further details about injuries or medical treatment were released in the bulletin.
The investigation is ongoing and police said they will follow the appropriate legal procedure against the accused once documentation is finished.
