TFT gave the national team a sparring test; Berokal worked on Neno and Rajt
TFT provided the sparring match in Skopje while coach Hoze Maria Berokal worked on integrating Neno Dimitrijevic and Mozes Rajt.

The North Macedonia senior men’s basketball team held a training match in Skopje on 25.08.2026 as part of preparations for the second pre-qualification window for EuroBasket 2029. Local club TFT stepped in to provide the sparring opponent, giving the national side a live workout ahead of their upcoming qualifier.
Berokal uses the game to fine-tune combinations
Coach Hoze Maria Berokal fielded an almost complete roster in the session and used the friendly to work on rotations and on-court understanding. The coaching staff focused particularly on getting Neno Dimitrijevic and new naturalized player Mozes Rajt up to speed within the team’s offensive and defensive patterns.
The match served as a practical rehearsal, allowing the players to test set plays and defensive schemes under pressure. TFT, representing the domestic club scene in Skopje, volunteered the opposition to help the national team peak for their Sunday fixture against Austria.
Team officials described the workout as valuable game simulation, offering minutes to players who need rhythm and giving the staff clearer options for the rotation plan that will be used in the qualifier. With the squad nearly complete, the coaching staff now turn their attention to final adjustments ahead of the international game.
Following the sparring session, the delegation returned to continued training sessions in Skopje as they prepare to travel or host Austria for the second-window meeting in the pre-qualification stage of EuroBasket 2029.
