Tijana Dapčević: How I Regained My Figure After Giving Birth

When it comes to the tallest women of the Balkan music scene, names like Lepa Brena (178 cm) or Snežana Babić Sneki (181 cm) often come up, but at the top is Tijana Dapčević with her 184 centimetres.

The singer from North Macedonia, with her tall presence and long legs, somehow stands out from the rest, and the public particularly noticed her physical change after the birth of her son Vuk.

Before giving birth Tijana reached 115 kilograms, and with changes in lifestyle and dietary regimen she managed to lose a total of 45 kilograms.

"I decided on that step when I realized that I no longer felt good in my skin and could not fit into certain pieces of clothing. I wanted to invest in my own health and with quick but steady steps, balanced nutrition and physical activity I managed in four months to lose 15 kilograms, and then to achieve the goal," Tijana said on one occasion.

What she changed in her meal plan

Her daily and professional menu is simple: she completely eliminated pastry and white sugar, she prepares wholegrain bread herself, and from dairy products she consumes exclusively young cheese. For breakfast she eats oatmeal flakes with chia seeds, for lunch turkey meat, and for dinner fish with a fresh salad.

Aside from maintaining her figure, Tijana entertains the audience with her stand-up show "Menopause" and remains a great support to her younger sister, singer Tamara Todevska. They admit that they sometimes argue — and even jokingly block each other on social networks for a few hours — but their family bond is strong.
