Tikvesh host Skopje as they chase European hopes — 13th round (Nov 6, 2026)

Tikvesh will host Skopje today, 6 November 2026, at 13:00 in Kavadarci in the opening match of the 13th round of the Macedonian First League (PMFL).

Crucial league focus after Cup exit

Despite registering a 1:3 away win at Vardar in the Round of 16 of the Macedonian Cup, Tikvesh suffered an official elimination from the competition and must now concentrate on the championship if it wants to keep European qualification or a trophy within reach. The team is coached by Oliver Bogatinov.

Before this round Tikvesh sits six points behind leaders Shkendija and five points adrift of second-placed Struga TL. The gap leaves room for hope for a European place, but much of the season remains to be played.

Skopje arrive in Kavadarci as the weakest side in the division this season. They have collected only 4 of a possible 36 points and are the only team without a victory, so Tikvesh enter the match as heavy favourites. The match-up is often billed locally with Skopje nicknamed the "Pirates."

How Tikvesh respond emotionally after their Cup expulsion will matter: if players are demoralised it becomes a challenge for coach Oliver Bogatinov; if they react angrily, Skopje could face a tough day. Kickoff is scheduled at 13:00 and the fixture is expected to run until about 15:00 at Kavadarci City Stadium. The appointed referee is Blagojche Ralevski.
