Timcho Mucunski in Israel: two bilateral documents signed to expand cooperation
The foreign ministers met during Mucunski’s working visit; two bilateral documents were formalized and a multi-sector agenda was outlined.

During a working visit to Israel on August 26, 2026, North Macedonia's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Timcho Mucunski, met with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar to reaffirm bilateral ties and discuss ways to expand cooperation.
Two documents signed, broader agenda agreed
Both ministers confirmed a readiness to deepen relations across several fields and moved to formalize parts of the partnership by signing two bilateral instruments. According to the Macedonian delegation, the agreements are intended to open channels for closer cooperation on education, research, culture, youth and sport, and to establish a framework for economic consultations.
Reflecting on the visit, Mucunski wrote on Facebook: "The visit is an opportunity to turn the strong political relations into more concrete cooperation, especially in the economy, defense and the defense industry, cyber-security, health, agriculture and tourism. We signed two important bilateral documents in the fields of education, science, culture, youth and sport, as well as economic consultations," wrote Mucunski on Facebook.
The two ministers also discussed the potential for joint projects and exchange in areas where Israel has technological and industrial expertise, while Skopje is seeking partners to stimulate economic growth and innovation.
No detailed implementation timetable was published immediately after the meeting. Officials said follow-up steps will focus on establishing working-level contacts and preparing specific proposals under the newly signed arrangements.
