Published: Macedonia 03 August, 2026 08:40. Today will be mostly sunny and warm across the country with only small, local cloud patches. Western districts will see a light to moderate breeze mainly from the northeast, while eastern areas will feel winds from the northwest.
Temperatures and local outlook
Nighttime lows are expected between 9 and 19 degrees, while daytime highs will range from 33 to 39 degrees Celsius in most places. Warm, dry conditions will prevail during daylight hours.
In Skopje the day will be warm and windy: the minimum temperature will fall to 18°C and the maximum is forecast to reach 39°C.
The warm spell driven by southerly air masses is forecast to continue through the end of the week, when daytime temperatures will be above 33°C everywhere and may exceed 40°C in some locations. Elevated temperatures are expected to persist into the nighttime hours as well.
Residents should take standard heat precautions during the hottest hours, drink water, avoid strenuous outdoor activity in mid-afternoon, and check on vulnerable people and livestock as temperatures rise.
