Toshkovski: The police uniform carries weight — and honor

A formal graduation for the new cohort of police officers for the 2025/2026 class was held at the Police Academy in Idrizovo, where Minister of Internal Affairs Panche Toshkovski addressed the recruits.

Speaking to the graduates, Toshkovski emphasized the symbolic and practical responsibilities that come with joining the service, telling them: "The police uniform carries weight, but also honor."

Message of duty and commitment

He reminded the newly promoted officers that the importance of their role lies not in rank but in their dedication: "It is not the rank that matters, but the commitment to safeguard the security of citizens, institutions and the state," Toshkovski said.

During his remarks he urged recruits to act with integrity, to respect legal procedures and to keep public trust at the centre of their work. The minister underlined that the uniform is a public pledge and that mistakes can undermine confidence in institutions.

The ceremony in Idrizovo gathered instructors, families and officials who welcomed the new generation into active service, marking the completion of their academy training and the start of field duties across the country.
