Tottenham confirm Savinho signing as spending reaches €360.5m — Marmoush and Gakpo next
Savinho joins Spurs as Tottenham’s summer spending hits a club record of 360.5 million euros; Marwan Marmoush and Cody Gakpo are reported next targets.

Tottenham have completed the signing of Brazilian winger Savinho, the London club announced on 25 August 2026 as they continue an exceptionally active summer in the transfer market.
Major summer rebuild
The club has poured large sums into reshaping the squad under new manager Roberto De Zerbi. Even before Savinho's arrival, Tottenham had spent almost 270 million euros this summer to strengthen the squad. New arrivals include:
- Martin Dúbravka (goalkeeper) – free agent
- Marcos Senesi (defender) – free agent
- Andrew Robertson (defender) – free agent
- Jan Paul van Hecke (defender) – 60 million euros from Brighton
- Mateus Fernandes (midfielder) – 99 million euros from West Ham
- Sandro Tonali (midfielder) – 108 million euros from Newcastle
Those additions underline the club's ambition to climb back toward the top of the Premier League after the previous season's near-relegation scare.
To secure the signature of the former Troyes player, Spurs paid 87.5 million euros, with a further 6 million euros possible in add-ons. That brings Tottenham's total summer expenditure to a record 360.5 million euros.
"We are pleased to announce the signing of Savinho from Manchester City, and the transfer will be finalised after the work visa is obtained," the club said in an official statement.
De Zerbi has publicly said the club is working on further striking additions, and reports indicate the next targets are Marwan Marmoush and Cody Gakpo. Savinho himself has explained his aim is to win a place in the starting lineup, and the move looks feasible given the current state of competition on the wings. Players such as Tel, Odober and Murr on the left and Kudus on the right are not viewed as guaranteed starters, leaving room for the Brazilian's speed, technique and unpredictability to make an immediate impact.
