Tottenham earn late draw at Old Trafford as Solanke scores in 90+2'

Tottenham rescued a point at Old Trafford after a dramatic late equaliser left Manchester United stunned. The game looked set to finish 1-0 to the hosts until Solanke struck in the 90+2nd minute to make it 1-1.

United had taken the lead through Mbeumo's goal in the 73rd minute, and briefly appeared to be heading for victory. The match turned tense when Tottenham were reduced to ten men following the red card shown to Betancur.

Match turning points

Despite playing with a numerical disadvantage, Tottenham found a way back and earned a deserved draw based on their overall showing. The late equaliser silenced Old Trafford and denied United three points.

The result also continued an unwelcome trend for Manchester United: in their sixth Premier League match of the season they failed to keep a clean sheet.

For Roberto De Zerbi and his squad the draw means they remain without a victory so far this campaign.
