Trump says meeting between Zelenskyy and Putin will be arranged soon
Trump told reporters he sees progress in ceasefire talks and named Zelenskyy and Putin as the planned participants.

US President Donald Trump told reporters that a meeting between Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russia's Vladimir Putin will be arranged very soon, and said negotiations toward ending the war in Ukraine have “made great progress.”
Speaking to the media, Trump named the two leaders as the likely participants but offered no specifics on timing, venue or the format of the proposed encounter.
What was confirmed — and what was not
Neither Kyiv nor Moscow has officially confirmed that the two presidents have agreed to meet. Trump’s remark arrived ahead of trilateral talks scheduled for November in which representatives from Ukraine, the United States and Russia are expected to take part.
Trump added that, in his view, negotiators have already achieved significant advances in discussions aimed at a ceasefire in Ukraine.
Earlier this year, talks between Kyiv and Moscow mediated by the United States took place in three rounds held in Abu Dhabi and Geneva.
