Trump posts AI video of armed ducks patrolling renamed Lake Ontario
The Truth Social post follows an executive order issued three days ago renaming Lake Ontario “Lake America.”
Former U.S. president Donald Trump published an artificial‑intelligence generated video showing an army of ducks patrolling the shore of Lake Ontario — a body of water he recently declared renamed to "Lake America" amid an escalating trade dispute with Canada.
The short clip, posted on his Truth Social account, depicts the birds walking on two legs, carrying automatic rifles in human hands and sporting a hairstyle modeled on Trump’s familiar look.
What Trump posted
Alongside the AI video, Trump shared a photograph in which he appears next to a roadside sign that reads "Welcome to Lake America."
Three days ago Trump signed an executive order to rename Lake Ontario "Lake America," saying the change takes effect immediately. The lake borders the Canadian province of Ontario and the U.S. state of New York.
The posts have stirred debate online about the use of AI imagery in political messaging and the diplomatic implications of unilateral symbolic acts aimed at Canada. Officials in Ottawa and Albany have not issued immediate responses to the social‑media posts.
