Trump considers replacing White House press briefing room with indoor pool
White House communications director Steven Cheung said "all options remain on the table" as the administration did not deny the report.

The White House did not deny a report that President Donald Trump is considering replacing the indoor press briefing room with an indoor swimming pool, saying only that "all options remain on the table."
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung responded to questions about the plan, stressing the administration’s distrust of the news media and promising an announcement at an appropriate time.
"America is right not to trust the media on 'fake news' because they fabricate stories based on lies and sources that are not reliable for any information. All options remain on the table and we will announce when appropriate," Cheung said.
Potential change to a long-standing space
The press briefing room has long served as the main venue for daily briefings and on-camera statements from the White House. Converting that space into an indoor pool would represent an unusual reconfiguration of a high-profile, long-established workspace.
The administration gave no timetable for any decision. Cheung’s comments, and the lack of a denial, leave open the possibility that the White House may make a formal announcement in the future.
