Bomb threats in France, Italy, Czechia, Denmark and Portugal — third wave this week
Threats reported in five countries during a third wave this week; nearly 30 flights were affected yesterday.

A fresh wave of bomb threats against passenger aircraft triggered security alerts across several European countries, authorities reported. Incidents were logged in France, Italy, the Czech Republic, Denmark and Portugal.
A Wizz Air flight on the Prague–Rome route was diverted to Venice, where passengers were evacuated and the aircraft underwent security checks. A Tarom plane that had a threat report landed in Bucharest and was inspected, and French authorities registered four additional threat reports concerning aircraft.
Responses and ongoing probes
Officials say this is the third wave of such threats during the week. Yesterday nearly 30 flights across Europe were affected; some aircraft were diverted while others were escorted by military jets.
European authorities are investigating whether the messages form part of a coordinated campaign of hybrid threats, but so far there is no confirmation about who is responsible.
Investigations remain active at national and international levels as airlines and airports continue heightened security measures while flights are monitored for further suspicious activity.
