Three Macedonian clubs return to European competition this week

Three Macedonian club teams return to European competition this week with scheduled matches on 27 and 28 October 2026.

Schedule and opponents

The men's champion Shtip UGD will host a Champions League rematch against the Dutch side Orion Stars at SRC "Dzekson" in Shtip on Wednesday, 28 October 2026 at 18:00 (Macedonian time). Shtip lost the first leg last week in Dutinhem and now must win at home to stay in contention in the continent's top club tournament. The match is notable for being the first-ever Champions League fixture staged in the city beneath the Isar.

Rabotnicki Skopje's women's team continues its regular presence on the European stage in the CEV Challenge Cup. As a seeded side in the draw, Rabotnicki will play the first leg away against Greek Zaon Kifisia tomorrow, Tuesday, 27 October 2026 at 17:00 (Macedonian time) in the sports hall "Zirinio" in Kifisia, a suburb of Athens.

Janta Volej KV, which made a memorable Champions League debut last season, will this year compete in the CEV Challenge Cup and faces Czech side Prague in the opening round. Janta hosts the first leg in Kumanovo tomorrow, Tuesday, 27 October 2026 at 19:30 (Macedonian time).

The fourth Macedonian entrant, Strumica 47&72, begins its European campaign later; the club's continental fixtures are scheduled to start around mid-November 2026.

All times above are local Macedonian time; fans are expected to attend the home fixtures as clubs aim to secure favorable results ahead of the next rounds.
