Triple killing at Danilovgrad shooting range — police hunt Russian national
Police say three employees were shot at the Česka Zbrojevka range; a 30-year-old Russian is the prime suspect and a black Seat Cordoba is being sought.

Three men were found dead on the premises of the "Česka Zbrojevka" shooting range near Danilovgrad at about 17:00, and Montenegrin police have launched a wide manhunt for a suspect identified as a Russian national.
Police name suspect and search for a black Seat Cordoba
Lazar Šćepanović, director of the Police Administration, said investigators quickly identified the suspect as Mikhail Nikolaevich Shabunin, 30, a Russian citizen who had been at the range in the days before the killings. "The police identified the suspect in a very short period of time. It is a Russian citizen who was at the range in the past few days," Šćepanović told reporters at the scene.
The police statement says the bodies of three employees of the shooting range were discovered by the range owner. The victims are listed only by initials: P.G. (24) from Podgorica, M.R. (67) from Danilovgrad and N.K. (20) from Podgorica. "Police officers, in cooperation with and by order of the state prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, are undertaking investigative and reconnaissance measures and actions in order to establish the circumstances under which a firearm was used and the death of these three persons," the Police Administration said.
Authorities say the suspect rented a weapon at the range earlier the same day. After the shooting, he allegedly fled in a passenger car owned by one of the victims — described as a black Seat Cordoba with registration PG AC 472. "It is suspected that after committing the criminal act the suspect escaped in a passenger motor vehicle owned by one of the deceased persons. It concerns a 'Seat Cordoba', black in colour, with registration number PG AC 472," the police said.
Police units, including special police forces, were mobilized across several municipalities and checkpoints were established in affected areas. "Strong police units — the Special Police Unit and the Special Police Units — were engaged in the search for the perpetrator. In several towns, blockades of the immediate and wider area were established. All necessary measures and actions are being taken in coordination with the competent prosecutor's office in order to identify and find the perpetrator and to clarify the incident," the statement added.
Šćepanović described the suspect as dangerous and armed. "This is a dangerous person who brought with him a certain number of rounds of ammunition and a firearm. He represents a potential danger, an active threat. All capacities of the Police Administration have been put at disposal," he said.
Police urged residents to stay at home while the search continued and to report any sightings of the car or suspect to the emergency number 122, via the Police of Montenegro app or by other means. Later reports say the suspected getaway car was located in Rogami, near the restaurant "Stefan", and was found on a meadow.
