Body found near public health facility in Bardovci
Ministry of Internal Affairs says the corpse was discovered in a canal near a facility fence on 26 September 2026 and sent for autopsy.
A lifeless body was discovered near a public health facility in the Bardovci area, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) announced on Sunday.
According to the report filed at the Karposh Police Station, on 26.09.2026 at 16:00 a human corpse was found in a canal close to the fence of a public health institution in Bardovci. The MIA's notice most likely refers to the Psychiatric Hospital "Skopje".
Police inspection and forensics
A team from the Skopje Police Department (SVR Skopje) carried out an on-site inspection. The body was removed from the scene and handed over for a forensic autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Authorities have not released details about the deceased's identity or immediate indications of how the person died. Investigators say the autopsy results will clarify circumstances surrounding the death.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs said the investigation is ongoing and further information will be provided after forensic and procedural steps are completed.
