Turkey reach EuroVolley semifinals, set to face Serbia
Turkey beat Germany 3–1 and will meet Serbia at Sinan Erdem Arena in Istanbul on Saturday at 18:00.

Turkey secured the final spot in the EuroVolley women's semifinals after defeating Germany 3–1, with set scores 25–18, 22–25, 25–18 and 25–22. The win booked a classic last-four meeting with Serbia.

Cuban outside hitter Melissa Vargas finished as Turkey's top scorer with 26 points, while Erdem added 12. The semifinal will be staged in Istanbul at the Sinan Erdem Arena on Saturday at 18:00.
Serbia and Turkey bring a lengthy knockout-stage rivalry into the semifinal: Serbia beat Turkey in the semifinals in 2011, 2017 and 2021, and also defeated them in the 2019 final. Turkey ended that run by winning the final at the most recent European Championship, 3–2.
The other semifinal will pit Italy against Poland. Poland advanced after beating the Netherlands 3–1 today, setting up an enticing clash with the Italians.
The Turkish victory over Germany completes the semifinal line-up at the tournament and continues the narrative of familiar foes meeting deep in EuroVolley knockout rounds.
