U17: North Macedonia women beaten 3–1 by Georgia
In the League B Group 4 opener Georgia won 3:1; an own goal in the 76th minute sealed the result.

The North Macedonia U17 women's national team opened their European Championship qualifying campaign with a 3:1 defeat against Georgia in the first match of Group 4 in League B.
Turning points
Georgia took the lead in the 24th minute through Gogoladze and doubled the advantage in the 37th minute when Guglashvili scored. North Macedonia responded before half-time when Emilija Ivkovik reduced the deficit to 2:1 in the 41st minute, restoring belief in a comeback.
Early in the second half a goal by Lana Spasovska in the 49th minute was not awarded, and the match was decided in the 76th minute when an own goal by Anja Karanfilovska made the score 3:1 in Georgia's favour.
The result leaves the Macedonian side with two more chances to recover at the mini-tournament: they face Luxembourg on 28 October at 14:00 and close the group against Wales on 31 October at 13:00.
The defeat will prompt a tactical review ahead of the upcoming fixtures as the team seeks points to improve its standing in Group 4 of League B.
