34-year-old arrested in Gostivar after wife reports assault and theft of car keys
His 36-year-old wife reported a night-time assault after an argument; police say he took money and her car keys and was arrested early the next morning.
A 34-year-old man was arrested in Gostivar after his wife reported that he had assaulted her and taken money and the keys to her car.
The incident, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), began at home after a short family argument at about 23:00, when the man's 36-year-old wife says he physically attacked her and removed cash and the vehicle keys from her handbag.
Police from the Gostivar Police Department (OVR Gostivar) located and detained H.S. (34) early this morning. Officers arrested him at approximately 02:20 on 18 Noemvri Street in Gostivar.
Investigation and next steps
H.S. was held at the police station pending further procedures. The case is being documented by investigators and, once the file is complete, appropriate charges will be filed against him.
The authorities say the woman reported the events to police, after which officers carried out the arrest and secured the scene. No additional details about injuries or the condition of the victim were released.
