Police detained Z.B. on August 17; the case has been referred to the public prosecutor and charges will follow.

A 52-year-old man from Kavadarci was arrested after police received a report that he had threatened his wife with a sharp object, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
The ministry said: "On August 17 at 22:50 police officers from the Kavadarci Police Station detained Z.B. (52) from Kavadarci. It was previously reported that in the family home he threatened his 45-year-old wife with a sharp object. The man was held at a police station, and the public prosecutor was informed.
After full documentation of the incident, an appropriate charge will be filed against him."
According to the statement, the arrest happened the same evening the incident was reported. The suspect was kept in custody at the local police station while investigators collected evidence and informed the public prosecutor.
The ministry's notification indicates that, following completion of the investigative and documentation procedures, authorities will submit criminal charges. No further details about possible injuries or the court timetable were provided.
Police officers handling domestic incidents typically forward cases to the public prosecutor's office for legal assessment; possible penalties depend on the charges that will be brought after documentation is complete.
