Kavadarci man, 69, arrested after police seize 13 kg of roe deer meat and prohibited snares
Police found a Zastava rifle, three 12‑gauge cartridges, about 13 kg of roe deer meat and nine prohibited snares during court-ordered searches.

A 69-year-old man from Kavadarci was detained on October 26 at about 3:00 p.m. after police executed court-ordered searches at his weekend house and his home, investigators said.
Officers searched the property on the Vasov Grad site in the Kavadarci area and the man’s residence in the town. During the search of the weekend house he handed over a Zastava hunting rifle, three 12-gauge hunting cartridges, roughly 13 kilograms of roe deer meat and nine snares that are prohibited for hunting.
Biological traces found on one snare
Police noted biological traces on one of the snares. The man was taken into custody and the matter has been reported to the public prosecutor for further action.
After the case is fully documented, prosecutors will file appropriate criminal charges against the 69-year-old for “illegal hunting” and for “unauthorized manufacturing, possession and trading of weapons and explosive materials,” authorities said.
No name of the suspect was released and the investigation remains ongoing as officers complete the evidentiary procedures.
