Željko Vujović arrested, suspected of running over people with a car at horse races in Biljeljani
After the arrest the police search ended; two were handed over to the Trebinje Public Prosecutor's Office, three people were injured in the incident.
The police have arrested Željko Vujović, suspected of attempted murder during horse races in the village of Biljeljani near Bileća.
Arrested along with Vujović is Mirko Samardžić, who, according to the police, fled with him after the incident. Both, after criminal processing, will be handed over to the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Trebinje for further proceedings.
A video of the attack appeared online
A video of the incident appeared on social networks yesterday. It shows a vehicle, which, as the police suspect, was being driven by Vujović, accelerating toward a group of people and striking them, after which it continues at high speed across the meadow.
Three people were injured in the incident. The further circumstances and the possible responsibility of the suspects will be determined during the preliminary investigative and prosecutorial actions.
The police had earlier arrested G. Č. and M. I. on suspicion that they assisted Vujović after the commission of the criminal offense. With the arrest of Vujović and Samardžić, the search that was launched after the incident has concluded.
