Two senior police officials arrested in Belgrade
Marko Kricak and Bosko Sekulovic detained by order of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in connection with the 'Senjak' case.

Published: 1 November 2026, 08:35 — Two senior Serbian police officials have been arrested in a large operation in Belgrade.
The detainees are Marko Kricak, head of the Criminal Police Directorate (UKP), and Bosko Sekulovic, chief of the Crime Suppression Service. The arrests were carried out by order of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade and executed by the Anti‑Corruption Service.
Prosecutors have placed both men under suspicion for unlawful conduct linked to the case known as "Senjak". Investigators are also looking into allegations that certain suspects were physically assaulted during questioning at a police station.
Background: the "Senjak" case
The "Senjak" case concerns the killing of Aleksandar Nesovic, which occurred on 12 May in the evening at the restaurant "27" in the Senjak neighbourhood of Belgrade. Sasa Vukovic has been charged in the homicide.
Throughout the inquiry there have been conflicting accounts about who was present at the scene and which individuals may have assisted the accused after the killing. The investigation also seeks to determine who, if anyone, helped to conceal the victim's body and to hide other traces.
Kricak had served as head of the Criminal Police Directorate for a little more than a year; before that he was chief of the Unit for the Protection of Persons and Objects. The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade is expected to release further details about the arrests and the specific allegations against the two officials.
