A fourth-year student activated tear gas during a painting lesson at the Lazar Lichenoski secondary art school, triggering panic and fear among pupils, a parent has reported. The same parent says that a week after the incident there has been no concrete response from the responsible institutions.

How the incident unfolded

The episode occurred inside the atelier where the painting class was being held, when a student from the painting design stream activated a canister of tear gas, the parent says. According to the complaint, the safety and health of those present were put at risk.

The regular teacher was not present that day because he was absent from work. Frightened pupils tried to contact the school's administration for help, but, the parent says, they were unable to reach the officials in charge.

Only the class teacher, identified as E. V., offered immediate assistance; the parent reports that she reacted quickly and took measures to protect the students.

The parent who filed the report is demanding accountability and asks competent institutions to explain why there has been no clear action so far. There has been no public information on any disciplinary or investigative steps taken in the days following the incident.
