UEFA fines Croatia and Kosovo over fan behaviour
UEFA imposed fines and two‑year suspended bans on away ticket sales after racist and discriminatory incidents at matches on Sept 27 and 29, 2026.

UEFA has fined the national football associations of Kosovo and Croatia following crowd disturbances at their Nations League matches in late September 2026.
Sanctions, amounts and suspended ticket bans
The Football Federation of Kosovo was ordered to pay a total of €35,000. UEFA split that sum into a €15,000 fine for displaying inappropriate banners and an additional €20,000 related to racist and discriminatory behaviour by supporters at the match against Austria on 27 September, which Austria won 3:1.
The Croatian Football Federation faces a €20,000 fine for racist and discriminatory behaviour by its supporters during the match against Spain on 29 September, a game Spain won 4:1.
Both federations also received conditional bans on selling tickets to their own supporters for one away match in UEFA competition. Each ban is suspended on a two‑year probation: it will be enforced only if a similar violation occurs again within that period.
UEFA's decisions underline the financial and sporting consequences federations face when spectator conduct crosses the organisation's disciplinary lines: fines hit federation budgets directly, while ticket‑sale restrictions affect fans' ability to travel to away fixtures.
