Public Revenue Office warns of fake SMS claiming "tax refund is ready" — do not click the link
The Public Revenue Office warns that fraudulent SMS messages claiming a tax refund are circulating and urges people to use only official channels for verification.

The Public Revenue Office (UJP) is warning citizens that fake SMS messages are being sent in the institution's name claiming that the recipient's "tax refund is ready".
These messages include a link that may prompt people to enter personal, banking or other sensitive information.
What to do
Do not open the link and do not enter any personal or financial information. The messages are likely an attempt at fraud and data misuse.
Citizens who receive such SMS messages should ignore them and verify any information related to the Public Revenue Office only through the institution's official channels — the official website, e-services and officially published contact addresses and phone numbers.
For additional information, citizens can contact the official email address info@ujp.gov.mk, the Info Centre at 0800 33 000 for calls from fixed-line operators, or 02 3253 200.
The Public Revenue Office again urges people not to click links in suspicious SMS messages and under no circumstances to share personal or banking data.
