Ukraine struck Lukoil refinery in Volgograd; Putin says Russia lost about 1% of GDP
Over 400 Ukrainian drones struck an industrial area in Volgograd; Governor reported one injured and a refinery hit.

More than 400 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles flew late last night toward targets on Russian soil in the Volgograd region, striking an area that includes a Lukoil oil-products refinery.
The refinery complex processes roughly 14 to 15 million tonnes of crude oil a year, equivalent to about five percent of Russia's total refining capacity.
Damage and casualties
Regional Governor Andrey Bocharov confirmed that an industrial zone in Volgograd was hit. He said a residential building was also struck, igniting a fire; one person was injured and taken to hospital.
Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters that, according to economists in the country, Russia has so far lost about 1% of its gross domestic product because of Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries.
Putin added that Ukraine has "openly declared" its aim to damage the Russian economy. The comment framed the strikes as part of a wider campaign to hit Russia's energy infrastructure.
The assault on the Volgograd complex marks another escalation in attacks on refining and fuel facilities, raising concerns about longer-term effects on fuel supplies and regional economic damage.
