Hungary expels 10 Russian diplomats
Foreign Minister Anita Orban said the diplomats had acted in a way incompatible with their status but gave no further details.
Hungary has ordered 10 Russian diplomats to leave the country, the Hungarian foreign minister announced, saying their actions were incompatible with diplomatic status.
“Those who were expelled were involved in activities in Hungary that are unacceptable for diplomats under the Vienna Convention. Hungary has called on the individuals to leave the country,” said Hungarian foreign minister Anita Orban, without giving details.

Orban emphasized that the measure was targeted and did not amount to a severing of diplomatic ties with Russia.
Hungary did not provide further information about the nature of the activities cited or the identities of the expelled personnel.
The announcement follows established diplomatic practice under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which governs the privileges and responsibilities of accredited diplomats.
