Spanish, Greek and Italian universities top wish-list for Macedonian students
Organisers of a study and scholarships fair in Skopje say over 30 institutions participated and demand is growing for business, IT and some medical programmes.

Interest among North Macedonian students in studying abroad is rising, with universities in European countries — particularly Spain, Greece and Italy — the most sought after, organisers of a study and scholarships fair in Skopje said.
The fair, held in Skopje, brought together representatives from over 30 educational institutions from different parts of the world. Organisers said the event aims to give students direct information on programmes, admission requirements and scholarship opportunities.
Popular programmes and career outcomes
According to fair organisers, the study fields that attract the most applicants are business, management, information technology and certain medical sciences. These areas, they say, match current student demand and labour-market prospects abroad.
Organisers also noted that experience shows at least a third of students who complete studies abroad remain to work there afterward, a factor many young people consider when choosing where to study.
Representatives at the event offered guidance on application procedures, tuition costs and financing options. Students who attended said they value the chance to compare offers from multiple countries in a single venue.
Organisers expect continued growth in interest for studies abroad as mobility programmes and scholarship schemes expand across Europe.
