Guard Kendrick Nunn is expected to be sidelined until mid-October after suffering a meniscus injury to his right knee and undergoing surgery. The club confirmed the timeline, which rules him out of the opening weeks of the campaign.
New hand injury for Nigel Hayes-Davis
During a training session on September 1, 2026, Nigel Hayes-Davis left practice with a hand injury. Medical examinations revealed a fracture of the fourth metacarpal in his left hand, and the initial prognosis places his recovery at about six weeks — roughly a one-and-a-half to two month absence.
That timeline means Hayes-Davis and Nunn are likely to miss the first month of the new EuroLeague season, delivering an unwelcome blow to Obradovic’s plans as Panathinaikos aim to challenge for the title after last season’s disappointing campaign.
The club posted a message wishing Hayes-Davis a swift recovery: "GET WELL SOON, NIGEL 💚", and reported that the forward was taken directly to Hygeia Hospital for tests after the injury.
