Published November 1, 2026 at 21:40 — Vardar strengthened its run in the Super League with a clear derby victory over Pelister, winning 31–23 at SC Jane Sandanski.

The reigning Macedonian champion followed up the earlier success against GRK Ohrid by delivering another commanding performance. Under coach Ivan Čupić the team looked powerful and largely controlled the match from start to finish, with only brief moments of a balanced fight.

Full arena, festive atmosphere

The sports hall was packed, and the match atmosphere resembled a celebration of handball. Supporters of Vardar known as Komiti created intense backing for the home side, and members of Čkembari were also present in the stands. Unlike past encounters, there were no incidents this time — a development noted with approval.

On the court Vardar’s superiority showed in both attack and defence, which produced the comfortable final margin. Key players combined to keep Pelister at bay and preserve control through the closing stages.

After the final whistle the players shared the celebration with Komiti. Milan Lazarevski — Mechka grabbed the microphone, first leading chants from the floor and then climbing up to the supporters’ section to continue the show.

The 31–23 result keeps Vardar at the top of its domestic campaign and reinforces the team’s favourites status as the season progresses.
