Vardar earns €960,000 from European appearances; Sileks receives €325,000
Vardar will get €960,000 and Sileks €325,000 from UEFA distributions; Shkendija’s receipts have already passed €1 million.
North Macedonia is down to a single club in European competition: Shkendija. Two other domestic representatives, Vardar and Sileks, have already ended their continental campaigns for the 2026/27 season but collected UEFA prize-money for their summer matches.
Key payouts
Vardar will receive €960,000 after being eliminated in both the Champions League and the Conference League qualifying rounds. That payment is relatively large for a team exiting at this stage and, according to UEFA's distribution, the same amount has been paid to five other clubs eliminated at the same phase.
Sileks, which played only two matches before bowing out of European competition this season, is set to collect €325,000 from the UEFA prize pool.
Shkendija has already surpassed €1 million in receipts from UEFA's competition payments so far this summer. That total will increase further regardless of the result in the club's two-legged tie with Hibernian.
The figures illustrate how UEFA's participation and distribution rules translate into meaningful revenue for clubs from smaller leagues even when they do not reach the group stages. For Macedonian football this summer, those payments provide an important financial boost as the domestic clubs prepare for the new season.
