Vasil Gogov named new captain of RK Vardar, Jaka Malus to serve as vice-captain
Goalkeeper Vasil Gogov replaces Goce Georgievski as captain, while Jaka Malus will serve as his deputy for the new season.

RK Vardar announced a change in leadership ahead of the new domestic season: goalkeeper Vasil Gogov has been named the club's new captain, replacing Goce Georgievski. The club also appointed Jaka Malus as vice-captain.
New armband, same ambitions
Vasil Gogov steps into the captaincy after several seasons with the team, taking on responsibility both on the court and in the locker room. The decision was presented as part of the club's preparations for the upcoming challenges in the national championship.
In the club statement they emphasised the player's long connection to Vardar and his commitment to the shirt: "A player who for a long time has been loyal to the club, who grew with Vardar, fought for this jersey and was always part of the red-and-black story, now receives a new and responsible role — to be a leader on the court and off it.
"The captain's armband is an honour, but also an obligation. It carries responsibility, character and an example for everyone in the locker room. We believe that Vasil with his dedication, work and love for the club will wear it with dignity.
"His deputy captain in the new season will be Jaka Malus, one of the most experienced players in the team and an important part of RK Vardar's play.
"New season. New challenges," the club said in its announcement.
